IGOR MINEVICH
At age 19, Igor is an engaged scholar and already an important member of the IUPUI community. He tutors math students seeking assistance on campus and is already competitive in graduate-level mathematics courses. Having emigrated from the Ukraine at age 9, Igor enriches those around him with his unique global perspectives and intercultural communication skills. Igor actively seeks out ways to serve others, which is why he received a Bepko Scholarship, IUPUI’s premier scholarship recognizing academic excellence and commitment to community service. He helped write a “time clock” computer program for the J. Everett Light Career Center to fulfill State of Indiana requirements for cosmetology students, saving the school $50,000. A forward thinker, Igor always looks for ways to better the world around him, as with his current undertaking in working with senior administration at IUPUI to develop and implement a campus-wide Honor Code.
