
NATHANIEL BLUME
Nathaniel Blume was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he began his musical studies at age 11. He continued his education at Butler University studying Music Composition and currently holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in the field. In 2000, he began his music composition business as an independent entrepreneur, creating music in multiple genres including chamber, orchestral, dance, film, and opera. Nathaniel has composed for numerous groups in central Indiana including a fundraising event for Motus Dance Theatre and the production of a 20-minute opera scene loosely based on a book of Nigerian civil war memoirs by local author John Sherman. In 2005, Nathaniel joined the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra to expand his expertise in musical production, arts operations, and education program management. He has been instrumental in carrying out the ICO’s educational objective to cultivate in young people an appreciation and life-long love of music as musicians, audience members, and supporters of the arts. Nathaniel is also devoted to his wife, Megan.
