
ANDREA METTERT COHN
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Andrea Cohn heads the smartDESKTOP Initiative's cataloging team, specializing in using metadata to catalog educational resources, aiding in the development of a controlled vocabulary, and working with the project's resource partners.
Andrea received both her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and her Master of Library Science degree from Indiana University. During her undergraduate work, Andrea also studied education and served as a substitute teacher in the Allen County School System in Fort Wayne.
While serving as a graduate assistant at the Indiana Humanities Council, Andrea won the 2004 Outstanding Student Employee of the Year award, sponsored by the IUPUI Career Center.
