We the People - National endowment for the Humanities An instructional toolkit is a collection of unique instructional tools for teachers to use to advance student understanding of “big ideas” through inquiry into historical people, places, and events.  The toolkits have been created as examples of how to use humanities-rich resources to support student and teacher learning.  The toolkits include materials to help teachers learn about the content focus as well as plans for how to use the content with students
