Native Americans as Philosophers
and Peace Keepers

Chief Joseph, Nez Perce
and
Sitting Bull, Lakota Sioux

Description:
Native Americans are often viewed as bloodthirsty savages.  Is this fact or opinion?  Did they instigate wars, or merely fight for survival of their culture and livelihood?  Through investigation of  historical events, we will form an opinion based on facts known about the leadership of two well-known chiefs.
