Kristen leads Indiana Humanities’ communications and development strategies. For 10 years, she has loved telling our story–and the impact of our work–on social media, online, in print and throughout various media outlets across the state.

A two-time graduate of Butler University, she holds an undergraduate journalism degree in integrated communications and an MBA in marketing. She has also served on the university’s Young Alumni Board and frequently teaches undergrad courses as an adjunct professor. Kristen is active in the Hoosier Chapter of Public Relations Society of America and currently serves as chair of the PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) committee. Kristen’s work has received six Pinnacle Awards from the association, most recently for the 2017 historic bar crawl and Frankenfest.

A Spencer, Ind., native, she’s a Lilly Endowment Community Scholar and remains active with the Owen County Community Foundation. Kristen is a member of the Greencastle Civic League and Heritage Preservation Society of Putnam County, and frequently volunteers for local sporting events through the Indiana Sports Corp.

Kristen and her husband, Ben, have a son (Lincoln) and twin girls (Brooklyn and Britain). She is a strict rule-follower (AP style, please), loves elephants and Elvis, and is always planning her next adventure.
