The IUPUI Common Theme invites you to join the discussion:
How can you change your world? Through Social Entrepreneurship, people can build or transform institutions to solve social problems including poverty, illness, illiteracy, environmental destruction, human rights abuses, and corruption in order to make life better for many.
Join them in welcoming Pulitzer Prize winning author, Sheryl WuDunn who will be talking about turning oppression into opportunity for women worldwide.
Oppression of women has been called “‘the central moral challenge’ of our time” and Half the Sky encourages and instructs on ways to help.
A book signing will immediately follow Ms. WuDunn’s presentation.

Indiana Humanities programs encourage Hoosiers to think, read and talk, by convening community conversations, exploring rich topics like food or competition and providing sets of books for book clubs.

Indiana Humanities provides humanities-based resources and grants to teachers, schools, libraries, nonprofits and other organizations across the state.
Learn about upcoming programs and events, listen to various points of view, and connect with others. In essence: this is a space to think, read and talk.
