big ideas Voice mail. "Hoosier Group" painting. The Indianapolis Cultural Trail. Sudoku puzzles. The theme park. Prozac. What do these have in common? They're all innovations that sprang from the minds of people in Indiana. Each year, Hoosiers develop Big Ideas that change the way we think, live, work and play. Some of those ideas make headlines; others quietly slip into practice. Indiana is full of innovators, but too much of their ingenuity goes unnoticed. The Indiana Humanities Council strives to celebrate innovation in all aspects of Indiana life by celebrating Indiana’s "Big Ideas" through programs such as the Governor's Awards for Tomorrow's Leaders. |
