Grants
In partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Indiana Humanities Council offers a competitive grants program which awards funding to Indiana not-for-profit organizations, schools, and other institutions. The Council divides grants into two broad categories: Humanities Initiative Grants and Historic Preservation Education Grants. more
Novel Conversations
Novel Conversations (formerly called Humanities to Go) is the statewide lending library of the Indiana Humanities Council and is open to any Indiana citizen. Through this program, the Council maintains and circulates a collection of books and a library of multimedia materials. more
Teacher Center
The Teacher Center features instructional toolkits for educators on subjects such as Abraham Lincoln, Native Americans, Indiana’s road to statehood, as well as opportunities for professional development. more

A statewide directory of liberal arts divisions in colleges and universities, as well as libraries, museums and historical organizations. more
Humanities Job Guide
A list of online job sites for careers in the humanities. more
Past Projects
Over the years, the Indiana Humanities Council has been involved in a variety of projects, including a photo essay that summarizes Indiana's African American history, a framework for teaching the role of religion in American History, and an essay by Kurt Vonnegut. more
